Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Excellent in every way
Very impressed with the Hare and Hound. All the staff were friendly and capable. Particular mention for the bar staff and reception lady. The rooms were comfortable and the food good. Our dog was made to feel particularly welcome with bed and bowl provided and a sausage for breakfast. We have recommended this hotel to doggy and non doggy friends. We will certainly be going back.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? 37 is a large budget if eating in the pub.
The grounds and hotel were lively. I enjoyed wandering around to stretch the dogs legs. All the staff were very welcoming to both of us. The food was excellent. Only one minor complaint in that the room was on the 1st floor which is not great getting luggage and dog up and down. Luckily he didn't need to go out in the night.

The hotel was excellent. Had a bit of a scare at check in as they said Pets Pyjamas hadn't notified them we were bringing two dogs (which seems highly unlikely) but fortunately they had a dog friendly room available. This could have been a huge problem otherwise. The hotel though is gorgeous. Staff are very efficient and friendly. We had dinner from Jack Hare's and breakfast the next morning, both served in our room, and the food was top notch, with amazing vegan options for breakfast. The dogs were welcome everywhere in the hotel and were made a fuss of when we had drinks in the bar. Would love to come here again, but I think I would check the booking with the hotel before traveling.

This is a wonderful, peaceful, dog-friendly place to spend a few days. The rooms are lovely, beds are excellent. The food has improved significantly since 18 months ago and is getting pack to its former glory days. The Bar menu choice could be a little broader. This matters as you can't eat in the restaurant with your dog present. Breakfasts are a delight.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Was very nice to stay somewhere with such excellent customer service
The hotel was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they made a lovely fuss of our puppy who was staying with us. The room we stayed in was spotless and very comfortable with lots of room. Very nice products too in the bathroom. I ordered some sandwiches at lunchtime and asked if I could have them to take away and they kindly brought it over to our room for us. We ate in the bar one of the evenings we stayed and it was good food and service. Breakfast was included in our booking and it was very good and our puppy even had his own too which was a lovely touch. It hotel didn't just accept dogs to stay but they seemed to welcome them staying. Would highly recommend and would certainly stay again!!

Taking three very large greyhounds to a hotel is a challenge . Sure there are plenty of dog friendly places but not 3 of them and not at that size . The Hare & Hounds was perfect , large room, direct access to the grounds and the warmest welcome. Greyhound owners know what our breed need and they have it all at this stunning hotel.

We had a lovely 3 day stay and found the hotel had a warm and friendly atmosphere for us and our small dog Teddy. With the weather so wet and windy we stayed in the hotel for the duration of our stay, in the lounge and the library which both were very comfortable. The room in Silkwood was also well equipped, comfortable and very dog friendly with direct access to outside and the grounds well kept and ideal for short walks. Breakfast and service was excellent in the lounge, Teddy loved his sausage! The food for Dinner and Sunday lunch in the bar was excellent, the only down side is the menu was quite limited and if we were to stay longer would have to go out for meals after three days. The only disappointment was finding out on check out that 12.5% service was added to the meal and drinks bills, which is excessive for what is a pub with staff taking the order and just delivering plates! Pored the first glass of wine and thats all. I didn't see any mention of the charge on the menu. Would not mind paying a service charge in a restaurant with the accompanied service that goes with it. However would definately stay again
