“We stayed at the Farington Lodge Hotel in Preston for one night. We had 2 rooms which were both Executive Doubles at a very reasonable cost. They were very large, clean and adequately furnished. The bathrooms were a good size, although the shower cubicles were a bit on the restricted size. There was plenty of room to put toiletries. The staff are very welcoming and there was no problem with having our cockapoo with us. Having also recently stayed at another hotel (not part of Pets Pyjamas) where they had a lovely box of goodies for the dog including a blanket, collapsable water bowl, chew and treats we were a little disappointed that all she got at the Farington Lodge was a packet of treats. They do not allow dogs in the main dining room or bar (if food is being served), but they offer a side dining room where you can choose from the same (expensive) menu as the main one. You have to have your breakfast there as well so it was a bit lonely. We chose to eat out for the evening meal at a nearby dog friendly gastro pub. All in all we would say that it's a good hotel, albeit more geared up for events and conferences than the casual traveller.”

“Beautiful old house. Lovely grounds which the dog enjoyed. Large bedroom with bath and shower cubicle. Very helpful and dog friendly staff. Excellent food in the evening and at breakfast. Enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Only minor complaint was that the rooms could use a bigger TV as the one in our room was very small in comparison to the size of room.

“Lovely location and fabulous hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, made both us and our cocker spaniel feel very welcome throughout our stay. Separate dining area for people with dogs was a nice touch and even provided water and a doggy sausage for breakfast. Rooms are large and the hotel grounds are immaculate and great for walking. We only stayed one night as a stopover heading home to Scotland but will definitely use again when travelling with the dog.”

“A lovely welcome and the room was spacious and comfortable the Hotel has lovely grounds and the hotel itself is very well preserved retaining the beautiful features of the stately home it once was. Staff were friendly approachable and happy to help. We will certainly be going back.”

“I found the hotel accommodation of a very high standard. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Food was also good. Welcomed dog and have separate eating area to accommodate people with dogs. Staff on arrival asked for payment although I had paid in full. Easily and immediately accepted and resolved. Signage with lights and request to amend google directions would make it easier to find at night.”
