“We were six adults and three dogs the staff were very welcoming we all had a brilliant time Breakfasts very good with loads of choice. Dinner as good Beautiful garden with easy access from bedrooms Lots to see in local area”

“My husband and I and our lurcher dog, Daisy, stayed for a night at the Castle. Daisy's not keen on other dogs, and on request, the very friendly and amenable staff gave us a quiet table, so she could sit with us, tucked away under the table, whilst we had dinner. The meal was excellent and our room was fresh, bright and wonderfully comfortable. We visited on the recommendation of friends and would happily come back for another stay.”

“All the staff were friendly and welcoming to us and the dog. Dog was definitely welcomed. A large number of leaflets of different walks with useful details and a daily recommended walk and weather forecast. Walks were wonderful. The food at the Castle was lovely. Hotel is quirky with lots of character. Really lovely stay”

“The castle hotel in Bishops Castle has got to be the most dog friendly hotel we've been too. Excellent walking straight out of the door and fantastic local beer and food when you get back. Will certainly go there again. Would never have found it without Pets Pyjamas and there excellent service”

“The team were very welcoming and showed us around the property and gave information on local walks from the village. Setting was stunning at the crest of a hill village with stunning views from the property and it's tiered garden and orchard (will be amazing in the summer!) The bar was a great place to eat and drink with the dog and the lovely locals - the food was exceptional (I'd go back for the sticky toffee pudding alone - all made locally). Room was lovely, well equipped with some doggy extras and Mavis was made to feel very special”

“This is our 2nd visit to The Castle Hotel it’s a perfect location for dogs and humans. Our fox red labrador Ruby was warmly welcomed and enjoyed her stay. Excellent food, accommodation and service. It was our 6th wedding anniversary on the Sunday we travelled up from Dorset to visit family in mid Wales and stayed at Bishop’s Castle as a base.”
