“Thank you to The Talbot for a great 4 night break in Mallon. The hotel is perfect, and the staff are really helpful. Everything is kept immaculately clean and tidy and the food was amazing. Car parking is good and our room was a four poster room with a sofa, it was a very large and extremely comfortable room, very quiet, looking over the garden and convenient for the garden to take the dog for a walk via a doorway leading straight out. Lovely place we will return with our Cocker Spaniel Stan who enjoyed his sausages and treats.”

“Been here before twice and have already booked again for the summer. Went for my wife's birthday in early Jan 2023 and despite mixed weather and many of the touristy places being closed for the winter we had a great time. The hotel is really friendly, clean with nice rooms and really dog friendly. Alfie the Westie loves his sausage breakfasts! I do not know who the chef is but the food is always really superb. We did our share of cruising in the past but the food here better. Enough said”

“Lovely hotel in a great location with plenty of outdoor space for the dogs to run around. Nice room, with huge bathroom, excellent food and comfortable cozy lounges to curl up with exhausted dogs, a drink and a good book but the best thing about this hotel is THE STAFF :) Every staff member is friendly, obliging and being a dog lover seems to be a job requirement......very enjoyable stay, will definitely return.”

“Just returned from 3 nights at the Talbot in between Christmas & New Year. Myself, husband, 19 year old daughter and 2 dogs had a suite (room 4). Room, food and service were excellent. We were all looked after exceptionally well and looking forward to returning.”

“The hotel is in a perfect position - only a very short walk from the many dog friendly shops, but with amazing views over the countryside. The hotel itself has a huge area of grass for dogs to run around and stretch their legs. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming to us and to Toby.”

“My stay at the Talbot exceeded expectations. The hotel was warm and welcoming with friendly staff. The dogs loved it and the food was excellent. Dinner service was a bit slow at times but they were extremely busy. We would absolutely return, loved Malton too which was also very dog friendly.”
