Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? My notes above are clear ; I hope the feedback is taken on board ; I do not think we were at all unreasonable in our criticisms

“Extremely disappointed with the fact that the carpet had significant stains in a room that is used for dogs. I wouldn't run a hotel and give that as a first impression. No decent alternative room available( smaller one upstairs not dog suitable) so we had to accept the situation . We should have been offered an equivalent or better room in my view or some form of gesture to address our disappointment. The evening meal was poor quality; Pork chop was 50% fat 50% meat but having complained already about the room didn't want to labour matters The breakfast on the 1st morning was nearly an hour coming to the table due to an unexplained problem. At this point we just accepted we had made a mistake. We made the best of our situation with our time out of the hotel and found a lovely restaurant in the evening. Breakfast was much better in the morning and it such a shame that such a nice location and building resulted in an overall below average review. I would not criticise the staff who were polite throughout but the management need some understanding about customer experience in my view. No offer of any consideration for poor service tabled which was a”

“The best, they are friendly helpful and cheerful. The whole place is spotless and well kept. Nothing is too much trouble . Great location food fantastic, we did not want to leave. Will be going back there again soon.”

“We booked a 3 night stay and had 3 dogs with us. The room Chaffinch had 3 dog beds and treats ready for them . Would have been better if the rooms were hardwood but that is a minor niggle. The breakfast was lovely with a buffet and cooked to order options. the dogs had bespoke sausages . All the staff were friendly. There were lots of dogs in the restaurant and bar. If you dont like dogs, the noise of some barking etc then this might not be the place for you, but for us it was great. There were green areas within a minutes walk to take the dogs. Dunwich beach within 10 minute drive is fantastic for dogs.”

“Right from the get go we were made to feel welcome by the whole team at The Crown, Westleton. The menu read well. Food was tasty well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful. Dogs are welcome in all areas. Our only downside was that we thought the room was rather dark. To help lighten the area we often left the bathroom door open and still needed the room lights on. Perhaps if the ceiling was painted a lighter colour that might have helped the grey/karki decoration. A dog bed, dog towel, treat and bowl were provided. Harvey enjoyed the treat. The staircase was a bit of a trial for Harvey, a dog who lives in bungalow. Another time we would book an outside room. Downstairs the well stocked bar was a very friendly spot. Again the staff couldn't be faulted. We had an interesting conversation with the barman, Lee Cooper. Lee also found and returned my purse that I had left where I had been sitting. Thank you Lee. I will say again how good the staff are. The housekeeping team all had a cheerful word as they passed by getting on with the job in hand. We hadn't spotted a sitting room until it was time to leave. We loved the decoration of the conservatory dining room, beautiful wallpaper. Some of the dogs were a bit noisy in the dining room but considering that there was a dog or two at most tables the certainly wasn't mayhem. The terraced garden area was very pleasantly set out. Meals could be taken on the lower terracing. Would we return to the Westleton Crown, yes we would.”

“Disappointed first meal that night sent back not cooked tried again the next night over priced........ £70 a bottle of champagne that would cost 35 good mark up so we did not eat there for the next 3 nights .... staff was nice but had to move rooms because it was unclean on arrival would not go back”

“Everyone was very friendly & very helpful. The food was absolutely delicious & it was v v dog friendly. We loved it & would love to go back again . It’s in such a beautiful part of the world too-we had beautiful days out too!”
