“On arrival, we, including our dog, were greeted warmly. The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was comfortable, good quality bedding and our dog loved the bed that was provided for her. A good choice of food, reasonably priced and we loved the terrace for drinks before dinner. A great hotel, would recommend it to all dog lovers.”

“Our stay at the Crown was so perfect. They think of everything and the staff just adore the dogs so much, they go out of their way to make things easy for you, from the bed, towel, bowl and treats left in your room, to the sausage provided at breakfast without asking. Our stay was comfortable and easy. Food was delicious although a small menu for non fish eaters. Definitely recommend this hotel.”

“Very dog friendly hotel. Staff are courteous and helpful. Very clean and spacious rooms Able to eat meals with your dogs anywhere in hotel not stuck in corners away from other diners. Lovely local walks Good food/drinks. Peaceful village location Wholeheartedly recommend”

“I had a small room for me and my dog. The bed was extremely comfy, the bathroom had a rolltop bath but i would have preferred a shower as it would have been a lot easier( i do understand that the size /shape of the room might not have allowed for this however) There were two fligths of stairs to get to the rooom and it would have been easier with the dog if i had been on the ground floor (for his toilet needs and in bringing up my luggage/his food/bed etc) The staff were friendly and the food was lovely with generous portions”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? I think the surcharge could have been extensive as in another pub in Dunwich charged us a service charge on pub grub

“I can’t fault the Crown for location and the staff they were great however the breakfast on the first day was not good I had to send the egg back as it was burnt and it seemed as if the whole meal had been left on a hot plate. The most disappointing thing was the fact that tourists paid 10 per cent more than locals for already expensive beer. It left a sour taste on so many levels.”
