How Woodworm Killer Works
Permagard Woodworm Killer is based on microemulsion technology. This means it is formulated with nano-particles - the tiny size allows the active ingredients to travel deep into the wood. The highly effective pyrethroid insecticide prevents wood boring insect attack and reinfestation as well as killing any active wood boring insects.
How to use Woodworm Killer
Permagard Woodworm Killer is easy to use. Start by making sure that the timber is clean and free from wood dust, contaminates and surface coatings such as oils, waxes and paints. Then, simply spray, brush or dip apply the woodworm killer on to the target timber for complete woodworm treatment.
Wood treated with this woodworm Killer can be overpainted, varnished or stained when dry.

The woodworm killer arrived in double quick time, well parcelled. It is simple to apply using a garden spray, and whilst not pleasant the smell is not too bad- 'takes a couple of days to clear. As to its efficacy....well, you have to trust the manufacturer's claims, but I'm glad I'm not a woodworm in my garden shed roof!

I can really only comment on my dealings with the company which were excellent, the proof as to whether the product has done the job is too early to say.

Hi Lynn, Thank you for your review. Furniture can be notoriously hard to treat, as it is imperative with all wood worm treatments that the surface coatings such as wax, oil or paints are removed back to the original wood before the treatment is applied. Even then the wood boring insects need to digest the treatment which is normally at the final stage when they turn from larvae into the beetles and eat the final layer of wood and emerge. Therefore we would expect to see beetles emerge until the infestation has been eradicated and the treatment then stops the re infestation of the sideboard. Please be assured if you have followed the above preparation and applied the product as per the guidelines your side board will be protected. The Permagard Team
