Colour-intensifying Exterior Water Repellent
Facade Cream Plus from Remmers is an extremely high performance water-based exterior water repellent. It contains special additives that enhance the colour of the original substrate, making it look attractive for homeowners.
This colour-intensifying facade cream is suitable for use on brick, stone and render substrates. Once the cream is applied, the active ingredients soak into the substrate and provide a barrier against water penetration while still allowing your walls to 'breathe'. This means it's a highly effective way of protecting your home from the effects of driving rain and penetrating damp.  The special formulation intensifies the existing colour of the substrate.
Cream vs Liquid Waterproofing
A cream provides a longer contact period with the surface that allows for deeper penetration. This is particularly important when it comes to bricks that are slower to absorb. With liquid-based waterproofing products, you always get some run-off and only limited contact time with the surface making them less effective.
As a professional water repellent, Funcosil PLUS has been designed so that the active ingredient penetrates as deeply as possible into the facade. This provides optimal protection against the absorption of water and pollutants as well as damage caused by frost. The exterior of your home is protected from damage and its colour enhanced.
Proven Lifespan
Funcosil FC Plus has a proven lifespan - it can provide waterproofing protection for decades. This long-term impact is due to the high concentration of the active silane ingredients and its ability to penetrate deep into the wall.
Reduces Heat Loss
Once applied and allowed to dry, this colour-intensifying masonry water repellent makes the substrate waterproof but also reduces heat lost through it by up to 28%.
The upshot is that over the coming months your walls will continue to dry out and become increasingly good at protecting your home from rain as well as insulating your house from heat loss. You will experience an amazing reduction in heat loss through the walls that in turn will reduce fuel usage, cutting your energy bills.
The product is non-toxic, safe and even helps reduce future growth of algae and lichen on your walls as there is not enough water available for them to grow.
Applying Facade Cream PLUS
Funcosil FC Plus is easy to apply by roller, spray or brush in just one coat. You can apply it straight from the bucket. The creamy consistency means that it can be applied without run-off loss (like you can get with liquid-based repellents) and can therefore be applied overhead.
The initial white layer that helps you see where the cream has been applied, disappears completely after approximately 10 to 20 minutes.
Condition of the Substrate:
The substrate must be in sound condition before you apply the Funcosil PLUS Facade Cream. Any structural defects such as cracks, cracked joints, defective connections, rising damp and hygroscopic moisture must be remedied first.
NB: The substrate must be clean, dust free and dry. Temperature of the material, air and substrate: from min. +10 °C to max. +25 °C for a minimum of 24 hours.
