Membrane fixing plugs with sealing washers
Our high quality, multi use brick plugs feature pre-fitted sealing washers. The seal allows you to quickly and effectively install both mesh and clear cavity drain membranes.
The membrane fixing plugs are designed with a ribbed shaft, giving them maximum grip in a wide range of masonry surfaces.
These plugs are also versatile. The head of the fixing plug has a preformed key so that it can be used with mesh membranes and renders, or dot and dab plasterboard without debonding. The plug also features a pre-formed hole in the head which accepts a size 10 (5mm) screw. This design feature allows the installer to fix finishes to the plug head such as timber battens or metal track systems.
Note: We do not suggest these plugs are used for vaulted ceilings, unless the seal is removed and replaced with PermaSEAL Rope. Alternatively, you can purchase the brick plug without seals separately.

Installing Membrane Brick Plugs
These membrane fixing plugs have been designed with efficient and easy installation in mind. As the membrane plugs are pre-assembled, installation is simple. Drill a 10mm hole through the stud of the cavity drain membrane to a minimum depth of 60mm. Make sure the drill dust is removed from the hole.
Next, take a plug and insert the end into the hole. With a rubber mallet, hammer the plug home until the seal is compressed and the plug is firmly embedded into the substrate. Be careful not to over compress the seal.
