“This is my second Tilley Airflo hat. The first was LTM5 in khaki. I don't think the material of the newest one is of the same thickness or quality. The foam of the original, in the crown, is wrapped in plastic so you don't have to remove it when you wash the hat. New one isn't. The labelling on the newest one is minimal and doesn't give you the air of "Tilley guaranteed" confidence. However, it keeps the sun and the drizzle off so it will do.”

Dear Customer We are sorry to hear you are not as happy with your second Tilley hat. We can assure you that the LTM5 and LTM6 are made from the same material so there should be no difference in thickness or quality. I wonder if the foam is no longer in plastic in an attempt to be more environmentally friendly? The hat remains protected by the same lifetime guarantee against wearing out so if it does prove to be less durable you can be assured that Tilley will provide a replacement in accordance with the conditions published on their website. If the hat remains unworn, you can, of course, return it free of charge for a full refund? If you decide to keep it we hope you obtain many years of trouble-free usage.
