“Some new and very valuable elements about the Kätzchen and the SdKfz.251/17, the rest is not as interesting. The research work is always excellent and dependable, but is seems a bit like scraping the barrel...”

“A detailed account of the design, and in some cases, development to at least prototype stage, of a number of German armoured troop carrying vehicles. The in-depth research is supported by photographs and scale drawings. The latter have been prepared by the master of this craft, Hilary Doyle. Vehicle drawings are in 1:35 scale and drawings of selected features and components are in 1:20 and 1:10 scale. Vehicles covered include: the HK 6 series armoured halftrack (a projected, imporved successor to the Sd.Kfz. 251; a number of fully tracked personnel carrier designs (some based on the Pz. 38t chassis) variously named "Kätzchen"; several types/variants of the Sd.Kfz.251 including the Sd.Kfz 251/20 "Uhu", a variant carrying two infrared searchlights.”
