A fascinating book detailing items captured by the American Ordnance Technical Intelligence Teams during the last year of the War. Late War vehicles are well documented, with over a third of the book detailing the A4 or V2 rocket. Captured images of both firing trials and A4 components are included, with their reverse side printed as well often revealing their original owner - e.g. Fried Krupp, Essen with all marked Secret. The images are the personal archive of Paul Cernak who served with the OTI and appears to have kept every document ever issued to him making a fascinating collection of items that were normally discarded after demobilization. Text is descriptive but light. Captions associated with images appear accurate. I would have liked a more detailed background history of the OTI and Paris equipment depot, however this book gives a fascinating starting point to embark on further research.

As other reviews have stated this book is a personal account of a OTIT veteran. The photos are not seen elsewhere and are a welcome addition for reference ( especially the V2 photos) . Overall this book is good value and a welcome addition for reference.

It is the history of an american Intelligence unit that is written in form of a foto album. it's interesting to me, with a lot of photografs of latest german ww2 weapons which that unit collected. Majority of photos are 12 x 9 cm size. In the section dedicated to V2 are bigger. V2 rockets are from captured german photos from 1943 and 1944. Paper fo the book are not of the highest quality. But the photos inside are hard to find elsewhere. There are few interesting photos of Panther G tank from Pz.Rgt.24.

As I sit here and write this, I've only had chance to flip through/dip into the publication. However, judging by the photographs and captions (all black & white), this personal account of one soldiers experiences of evaluating captured German (WWII) equipment should prove enlightening. Some of the equipment captured I haven't seen before, and others I'm suprised that it fell into Allied hands intact and only missing the crew for operation. When I do get around to an indepth read, I'm sure the book will provide some interesting insight into the Allied experience of German (WWII) technology.

This book is not quite what I had expected but is still a nice addition to the collection. The pictures are not as clear as you might find in other publications but this book was also not printed via Panzerwrecks so no blame here. The book contains a lot of interesting photos of a Depot in France, unfortunately the Author used exactly the same text to describe i.e.a series of pictures of the V2 rocket. Thats a bit repetitive, wished the Author would have used add.information if available.
