Hard cover publication printed on semi-gloss paper. About everything you want to know about this vehicle is there; history and development, technical description, unit organisation, operational history. It is very well illustrated with lots of drawings and pictures, including a color walkaround of preserved examples, and seven colour profiles.

I have all of the books in this series, and while the others have been sensational, this book was a bit of a disappointment. While well written and informative, only a small part of the book covers the SU-122. The bulk of the book dwells on the development designs, prototypes, and one-off plans. My own interest is in the SU-122 that saw service, and the variations in the vehicle, and on a personal level I would have preferred more coverage of the vehicle in service.

This covers all the 122mm versions of the T-34 not just the SPG on the cover. There's also information on the Panzer III version. This series is proving to be extremely useful for technical information which is not common in English.

As I am very interested in the subject, SU-122 tank, I am very impressed with this book. I don't know any other book which gives more details of this tank than this one.

Very likely to be the definitive book on the SU -122. The Red Machines series of books are excellent.

Excellent book on a little known vehicle. Plenty of superb photos complimented by a very informative text. Totally recommended to anyone with an interest in WWIl Russian armour.
