“AFV Photo Album is an outstanding book. First in a series of x3 (AFV Photo Album Vol 2, and AFV Photo Album Vol 3), AFV Photo Album Vol 1 does not disappoint the reader. Loaded with wartime (and post war) photos of armor on Czechoslovakian territory in the closing stages of WWII. German, Russian, US, and even British armor are all represented. There is also a section on Slovak armor during the uprising in 1945, and a chapter on pre-war Czech armor in 1938 (before the German annexation). Last chapter includes the Russian/Warsaw Pact actions in Prague, during Operation Danube in 1968. Book also has a nice selection of color profile artwork depicting armor as seen in the wealth of photographs. Written in both English, and Czech, AFV Photo Album Vol 1 covers a lot in descriptive captions in accurate details. Well recommended.”
