“As a professional historian with three books of my own, I am amazed at how good this book is. There are some minor editorial errors here and there but they are so minor as to not be distracting. The story arc is superb. The details are amazing. The prose and style are very pleasing. Plus, this book covers a very important aspect of the war on the Western Front that deserves every bit as much coverage as Operation Cobra and the Falaise Pocket, but doesn't. Therefore, this a seminal work that will be the standard reference for many years to come.”

“This book does for the Northern Dutch Campaign what D-day Then and Now did for the Overlord Campaign. This volume provides a very complete picture of the schwerJager Abt. 559 as well as the British and Canadian involvement in this campaign in the closing months of 1944. Extremely well illustrated, with many new and unpublished photos. Can't recommend this book highly enough and I feel lucky to have received a copy (even with the 30 lbs post!)”

“This book is worth every penny of its asking price. It's very clear from the start that the authors have researched the subject in great depth. The technical detail about the vehicles, weapons and units is excellent but its presence doesn't overwhelm the narrative. The text is clear and concise while giving a very full understanding of each aspect of the various engagements. The many maps, diagrams and photographs are especially helpful in providing a context. The confusion and devastation of battle is very apparent.”

“took about 15 days for the book to get overseas to me since I placed the order. It arived in perfect condition. Book is high quality, glossy pages and pics, choked full of info. I have only read the first chapter and already it has me captivated. Looks like a great read, I am looking forward to purchasing another book from Panzer Wrecks”

“A highly detailed account of the fighting in the Netherlands by KG Chill and Heavy tank destroyer Abteilung 559. The book is the result of years of research and follows the story from both sides, copious amounts of photos most never previously published along with great maps and unit organisations make this a high quality book. Until the last twenty years not much was published about the Jagdpanther units in the West this helps complete the picture. Expensive but unique you will not find a better account easily, if you have the means go for it you won’t regret it, highly recommended.”
