This is one of the most helpful armor painting guides to ever offered. A wide variety of Panthers are presented, inside and out, with keen insights on color selection and application. These 200+ pages are an outstanding value! Excellent photos, helpful modeling insights, and concisely phrased historical background. This is a volume to be forever treasured!

Extremely disappointed with this purchase. Apart from one or two of the models detailed in the book ,I did not think the caliber of the finish of a lot of them was very good . Most looked overly done and it felt more of an advertisement to use just about anything and everything in the Mig/ Ammo range of products .

The Pz Kpfw V Panther Tank is by many considered one of the supreme AFV’s of WW2 with a legion of fans in the modelling fraternity. Many of the model kit manufacturers are producing state of the art kits to keep these fans happy and the wide range of Panther variant kits being produced by Takom are for many cutting edge examples of the Designers, the CAD Technicians and mould makers skills. But the question arises how do you get the best out of Takom’s kits? Yup! This book may well help you up the skills ante and help you turn out a much better result. Understandably the emphasis is on using particular brands of modelling materials but this makes the understanding of the techniques a fair bit easier and gives a standard to aim at in the sense that if this can be done by someone with these products then there’s a good chance you might be able to do the same! All in all this is a pretty good book demonstrating up to date techniques and up to date results and - just as importantly offering some high standard inspiration as to how to get the best of some pretty good model construction kits! If you want to climb a fews steps further up the modelling standards ladder then this book may well help you achieve your aim. Well worth a look!
