Excellent book. Most of the book is concerned with the Tiger Tank but does include chapters on the Elefant, Hetzer, Wespe and Demolition vehicles. Superb photos of the AFV's that were used in Italy.

A beautifully presented collection of photographs and illustrations of German armour in Italy during the later part of ww2. This is volume one of two and focuses primarily on the Tiger I, Elephant and the Panzerjager 38r widely known as the Hetzer. The photographs are often rare and well captioned. The colour plates are very high quality and support the overall content very well. An excellent volume produced to a very high standard.

The book I received was, in fact, volume 2. The book is excellent, covering the Panther, Bison and other self propelled artillery. Beautifully illustrated with very detailed text and fine colour plates. I would recommend this book as an excellent reference for modelers and historians interested in a campaign not widely covered elsewhere in this detail. I will be purchasing Vol 1 shortly!

I was a little wary that these might not be what I was looking for, but being about the Italian Campaign they fill a large gap in my collection, so I thought I’d give them a go. I am delighted with the books and very happy I bought Volumes 1 and 2. Very nicely produced books, quality paper, great photographs, informative and interesting captions, maps and colour profiles. A good book and I like the plan to focus upon particular AFV’s in subsequent volumes. If they maintain this standard of information and presentation I shall buy all of the subsequent volumes.

A very useful reference on one of the less publicised theatres of World War 2
