Not as good as I had hoped. Drawings and not photgraphs of the applied techniques? Really? Also whilst I appreciate it was a mig book all it really was was a list of their available products and not as good a guide onto the methodology of applications as I had hoped.

Dauntingly exhaustive guide to weathering a variety of late war vehicles. Good range of vehicles and colour schemes. While the illustrations are uniformly gorgeous, it would have been nice to see photos of actual models progressing through the stages of painting and weathering.

Another great book to inspire your model painting. Each vehicle depicted takes you through a gradual process of painting, adding a wash, streaking, chipping, rust, mud and dust. You can choose where you want to stop in the process for the look you're after for your model. All the materials necessary are shown at the start of each chapter. The only thing I would like to see is a 4 view aspect i.e front, back, and right as well as the left side which is all you currently get and also a photo of the original vehicle being represented. I did find it slightly frustrating that the vehicle i am currently doing was only offered as a download. Despite this I would recommend this book to anyone seeking that extra bit of inspiration to take your modelling to that extra level.

great guide to weather afv models. Beautiful illustrations. My only complaint is I would have also liked some accompanying photos of the real vehicles that the illustrations were based on

An excellent book for the AFV modeller, showing the progressive stages of weathering a vehicle. The various methods used to apply paints, the brushes used, air pressure settings for airbrushing etc. A very good buy.
