“Très gros pavés ! Gros travail de recherche. le premier livre, plus de mille pages, n'est composé que de textes, le second, plus de quatre cents pages, présente l'iconographie. Curieusement l'auteur a choisi de séparer les documents. Il me semble que pour une compréhension plus dynamique inclure les photos et les plans dans le texte aurait permis une meilleure lisibilité. Dommage pour les photos, bien que abondantes et que beaucoup soient très intéressantes, le petit format ne favorise pas leur lecture d'autant que nombre d'entre elles sont très sombres. Un format plus approprié et une réelle interaction entre documents écrits et documents iconographiques auraient été beaucoup plus attrayant.”
