I wanted to read this book before writing a review. This I have finally done and I am seriously impressed with the hard work of Timm Haasler, Simon Vosters and the Panzerwrecks team in creating this truly comprehensive publication The book is pleasingly text heavy, though thoughtfully and clearly written, with concise maps added to support the text. Images are included too, with a mixture of combat shots, factory manufacturing images, wartime interior images, colour artwork by Felipe Rodna and details of Sturmpanzer that still exist in museums. This means military historians and model makers are both satisfied, with comprehensive end notes included providing source references should the reader wish to research further. This is a common practice in academic history books but sadly missed in many military history publications with model makers included in the target audience. I cannot praise this publication enough. I can only wish Tim and Simon could tackle SturmPanzer-Abteilung 216 in the same way.
