“Nicholas Moran better known as 'The Chieftain' from the 'Inside the Chieftains hatch' has released a book following the United States development of Tank Destroyers. The book follows the path of; Wheeled vehicles, Semi Tracked and Tracked. Each section is sub categorised by the size of weapon i.e 37mm, 57mm, 75mm and so on. Nicholas does a great job of separating the various concepts in TDs and the conflicting ideas that TD branch was looking for. All of the information is extrapolated from the U.S archives and gives an excellent insight into the many dead ends that existed. Nicholas Moran does a commendable job helping you follow the tumultuous designs and RE-designs. Sometimes you will spot the off spelling error which becomes more apparent later in the book. Some of the pictures are too dark to disseminate any useful details. But these are few and far between. Hopefully he decides to release more books as this is an excellent publication and we'll worth the time and investment.”
