After a one page introduction, this (60 page) book covers: - Czech L.T.35 (9 pages, including vehicle statistics), - Polish TKS and 7 T.P. (4 pages), - French FT-17/18, R-35, H-35/39, Somua S-35 and Char B1 (including vehicle statistics). As usual, there are a plethora of interesting and rare images, but on this occasion no scale drawings or plans at all. Instead we are treated to a variety of translated original evaluation and after action reports on the Czech and French vehicles, and these do make for very interesting reading. It seems that the Germans had a very low opinion of the French tanks in comparison to their German (and Czech) counterparts! There are also brief details on German modifications - note three types of flame projector for the Pz.Kpfw.B 2 (Flamm) - as well as unit allocations, strength reports and a Table of Organisation for the French Beute-Panzer Units. There is no mention of the CKDLT vz.38 but presumably this is because, although a Czech design, none had entered service by the time of the German occupation in March 1939. In summary I feel that this is an excellent book on an interesting topic; very pleased to have added it to my library.
