“This superb book has a large number of images never seen before and corrects spurious comment in instances of photos that are familiar. It leads very well into the previous work on Viking covering the high summer in the vicinity of Warsaw which is probably the best I have seen; I say this having most of the divisional photographic histories by Munin Verlag etc. Both for the historian and the modelmaker, it will not disappoint, the informed captions have always been very enlightening in RZM products, right from their Grossdeutchland album up to this latest work. Of course they could make it perfect if they could next turn their attention to Totenkopf during the 1944/45 period!”

“If you are interested in WW2 history or are a model maker this volume is a superb addition to your collection, there are period photos in abundance along with well researched accounts. Yet again a great volume supplied from in my opinion the best WW2 publisher/bookshop thank you panzerwrecks”

“Unternehmen Ilse is a stunning book and my candidate for the book of the year when it comes to military related stuff (closely followed by Panzers in Berlin 1945). The quality of the pictures are as good as it gets and more importantly the added text and order bring it in context to the actions covered. Stunning work worth the asking price!”
