“The photographs and associated commentary gives an historical angle rarely seen. The fact that all the pictures are taken by German photographers and show how the Germans coped with attack is incredible and educating.”

“I heard about this book many, many years ago and I really wanted to have a copy. But the prices I saw in antiquarian bookstores were incredible. So at first I couldn't believe I finally found one for a normal price. But it's all good and I 'm very happy I have bought this book. I live near to the Arnhem bridge so I see some of the actual places where the photos were taken almost daily. It's all very interesting and keeps history alive.”
