“(Vol 1 & 2). The books provide a fascinating insight into the logistical difficulties and organisational requirements of maintaining panzers at the front. The books really show the need for logistical planning - starting with the need to order an appropriate quantity of spares during production. The volumes highlight the difficulties of sourcing replacement parts from various specialised factories in Germany and transporting them to a constantly changing location at the front. Recovery techniques and specialised vehicles (or lack thereof) are also covered. Photos are, as usual, excellent, unique and well captioned.”

“Excellent book on a very interesting and very over looked subject. This completes my set as I had previously purchased repairing the Panzers vol. 2 but vol1 was out of print. This is very comprehensive book in its details and history and packed with photos of the tanks I have never seen before, the two books combined make a very beneficial resource for history buffs and modeller alike.”
