Yet more eye candy for what-if Panzer 46 fans. Useful selection of colour profiles in the first section of the book.

A very good book - lots of different types of prototypes and 'what ifs' illustrated in full colour. The book has very high production values and if vehicles of this type are your area of interest then this is a definite volume for your library.

An excellent book on an up and coming popular subject matter , with step by step builds and sources to help in any build .

I knew I had to have this book as soon as I saw it. It's a subject I have become very interested in and I have not been disappointed. OK, some may say we've seen this stuff elsewhere - Adam Wilder's contributions spring to mind - but that's not a negative point for me. I'm happy to have the inspiration to pull out from the stash some of those kits that have been waiting for the guidance this book provides. The format will be familiar to many who have sampled AK's other books on modelling. Lavishly illustrated, it starts with a short introduction to the subject followed by colour profiles and then gets into the models and how they were created. It wasn't always clear to me who built the models, but again that doesn't detract from my enjoyment

This fairly thick, soft back book is quite generous with the amount of panzer model builds it includes and the author of course is a very talented model builder. Obviously English is a second language for the author but we come to accept that from many modelling books and magazines and he gets his points across. The fantastic and often crazy ideas that Hilter and his designers had for the German war machine had the Second World War dragged on longer are what make up the paper panzers (German tanks that never made it past the planning stages or prototype.) We are shown here how to build these model kits as accurately as is known from records thanks to the author’s great research plus weathering and battle damage are portrayed on each as well with explanation. If I had any change I would make to the book, I would wish that a few converted or even scratch built paper panzers were also included. With the exception of a radar tank that places a resin turret onto a styrene tank, these are all builds of boxed styrene kits readily available. Perhaps a part two could include some models not made starlight out of the box. There were many paper panzers to choose from.
