“I'm not a model-maker. But even for a 'non-practitioner' there is plenty to enjoy. It's a show-case not only of iconic German vehicles (I applaud the idea that 'iconic' does not mean stock-standard common! - Tiger, Panther, Panzer IV etc.) but also of the imagination, creativity, artistry and craftsmanship of the builders. Not only that, it's also infused with oodles of practical 'how to' tips and steps, essential for beginner and noteworthy for veterans alike. It even platforms the unique pragmatism of model-makers at times. I never tire of being stepped through the transformation of boxed plastic and bottled paint into stories and historic vignettes. And there's 12 of them! I have nothing but admiration for these masters, and for a volume that gives me a window into their world. I may not have the models, or the skills, but at least I have the book!”

“very well produced given a very good cross section of SS vehicles, tanks and guns. And how to detail very good also dioramas and figures and painting and in colour! So if you are into WW2 and the SS this is a book well worth buying to add to your model book collection.”
