Items damaged when they reached their destination so costs incurred by myself for careless handling Thank you for your reply You can see from the pallet that it has been damaged by one of your operatives, so clearly someone has been negligent , it has nothing to do with the shrink wrapping More importantly I have been contacted today by our elderly neighbours who your driver was extremely rude to blocking the road during the collection and rudely telling them he would not move to the near side of the road to allow them access to their house This is so disappointing as we are near completion on this large detached house whee we have had hundreds of deliveries and collections and not once in the 9 month build has this situation occurred The lady is 83 years old and your driver should be ashamed of himself I look forward to your comments Trevor Baylis

Hi Trevor, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I've taken a look at the photos you submitted to us, and unfortunately, the collection point wrapped heavy brick goods in only shrink wrap. The issue with this is that over 400kg of fire bricks and flues were being moved. The goods would have been better suited to be strapped for movement through the network. Sadly, shrink wrap alone is unlikely to hold the goods in position while being moved through the network when single items carry such weight. We would have preferred the driver to refuse the goods on collection, as on this occasion, the goods were not secured well enough to the pallet. I can see this is your first booking with us and we did move the collection date at your request. I'm sorry to see it didn't go as well as both parties would have hoped for. It doesn't look as though you have reported this issue to us directly, so please get in touch with our team via LiveChat on our website and we can send out a claim form if you wish to make a claim against any damages suffered. Just to note, we do not generally have issues with moving goods of this nature when they are sufficiently secured to the pallet. If there is any further support we can provide, please get in touch.
