“Interestingly the "shoe" version of this Salomon style is much stiffer and harder to wear in than the 'mid" boot version. I have never had blisters wearing the "mid boots" from new (which is partly why I reached to try thy shoes) but the shoes are a different story. In total I have walked about 15km in them and they are just beginning to soften now. The shoes also use a non-lace system and if you have high arches (as I do) them it's a vey tight squeeze to get the foot into the shoe (when they are new) . Once squeezed in its fine.”

“I've got Salomon boots so was surprised how uncomfortable these were to start with. Really felt stiff, with pressure in places and just a bad fit all round. However, the Mrs has some of these (hence why I bought) and she assured me that after 2 days to a week (depending on usage) they would fine. I couldn't see it as they were like an old pair of army boots. It was like walking around with 2 beer crates on your feet instead of shoes. Unbelievably though, she was 110% bang on. Almost over night they now feel great; bizarre. Ultimately, they broke in quickly and now they feel like Salomon's. Sorted. Comfy everywhere and no water ingress as of yet. Bare in mind these are shoes, and as such are as low sided as most trainers so don't go wading on them lol. I got them for walking the dog in winter. My boots are amazing but a faff with the laces, taking 5 mins to our 5 on. The pull cord on these makes it much easier to get on & off. Winner.”
