“These are the fifth pair of this brand of shoe. They are extremely comfortable and look fine.My only concern is that with my awkward gate the sole soon shows signs of wear . By soon i mean after three months of regular wear on trails,green paths and pavements. I accept this for the comfort.”

“Salomon are a great brand and the shoes / boots always fit well, last well and if you go for the GTX are watertight. I am a wide fit so just go slightly bigger. The price and service were great being the best for the product at the time of purchase. Will be back.”

“We love Salomon shoes for walking and trail running. The goretex ones are a bonus. The best thing is the quicklace which makes them easy to get on and off without fuss. The grip and fit is good, but we haven't found the x ultra 4 to last quite as well as predecessor.”

“My third pair (in new format) , quality has deteriorated considerably and I doubt they will last as long as previous pairs. The Ultra 3 was an outstanding shoe, lightweight ,waterproof (obviously as long as you were not walking in deep water!) and for a lightweight shoe pretty durable. I believe Salomon has moved manufacturing from Vietnam -to a cheaper and poorer quality maker.”

“Usual Salomon high standards applied here. Slight rubbing in one shoe but otherwise comfortable and have already used for a full day city exploring with no issues.”
