“Best pair of waterproofs I’ve ever had. Well pleased with the perfect fit and as you’d expect from Berghaus outstanding quality. As far as waterproof, have worn many times in heavy downpours and have always left my under trousers bone dry. I’d fully recommend to all and well worth the price.”

“I wore these for pretty much all of three long days hiking in Scotland. When walking at a steady pace, they performed well. However when putting more effort in on a mild, but wet Autumn day, my thin hiking trousers soon became damp and then wet with sweat, even with the side zips partially open. On the plus side, the ¾ length side zips made getting them on and off over boots easy. The elasticated waist with tightening cord made the trousers a good fit. There are a few things which would improve these trousers: 1. A waterproof zipped pocket 2. Easier access to pockets in trousers worn underneath 3. A way of cinching in the bottom of the legs. They were a little baggy Pro’s: o Elasticated waist with drawstring tightener o ¾ length zippers which can be opened from the top and bottom o Keep the rain out (as advertised) o Relatively inexpensive Con’s: o Not very breathable o No pockets o Difficult to access pockets in trousers worn underneath”
