“I've had this hat a few weeks now and I am really pleased with it. I wear it very often, in the garden, when walking and when out and about. The rain falls from it exactly where you want it to fall and not down my neck. I occasionally felt a drop of rain through the breathable air band but the rest of the hat remains waterproof according to the description (the stitching is close weave). It works. Brilliant in the sun. I haven't been out in strong wind yet but the front and rear straps are very reassuring and I'm sure I will have no problem. Prior to buying this hat I was using a genuine leather Australian bush hat, which was fine but heavy and it created pressure on my brow. This Tilley hat fits softly and comfortably and has very little weight effect on my head. I haven't washed it yet, but again I don't foresee a problem. If you have any doubt as to its versatility and quality I recommend you watch Sean James on Utube (building cabins in northern Canada and out in all weathers) for an extreme view on its usage.”

“My third Tilley hat to add to my collection. Wanted a lightweight version with increased airflow which this model is designed for. Quite shocked to see it was made in China though as my other Tilley hats are made in Canada. Looking on the Tilley website it does say certain popular models including this model are made in China. Still nice quality though. I find Tilley hats come up small though so bear this in mind when ordering. I have a head circumference of 57cm but I have 59cm 7 3/8 hats that fit me well.”

“This is my second Tilley - the other I bought 20 years ago and it still looks new despite lots of abuse and washing. This one looks like it will easily last as long. Tilley simply make great hats”

“Tilley manufactuer excellent quality hats which should last a lifetime, so as expected the hat is very good quality, excellent value and well worth spending a little more. Price was very competitive compared to other sites plus speedy delivery, so very happy overall!”
