“Used this for cooking rations in the field. Boils v quickly and will heat up rations soon after. Affected by wind so need to make a little wind break. Gas is v expensive if you buy branded jet power but looking to see if other canisters work.”

“I purchased my Jetboil after seeing one in action whilst working with another team of fitters. I was so impressed with its simplicity and the rapid boil (times money), that it became a must have item. Working on site it’s a convenient and speedy way to have a fresh brew.”

“It's ok. The volume you can boil for the size of it is actually quite small. The clicker for the light and the gas regulator is quite flimsy. I struggled to light it in the wind on Dartmoor. Overall it is convenient for a brew . It packs away well. Pricey enough for what you get to be honest”

“Purchased for weekend airsoft events I needed something with the capacity to take boil in the pack style meals and deliver me a brew in a reasonable time. It also needed to be compact to fit in my pack without taking up too much real estate. Well, this doesn't disappoint. When all put away this is a small enough piece of kit and if you are running the small gas canisters these can be stored inside so even less space taken up. I have 4 sachets of 3 in 1 coffee and a cloth to wipe around within the cup too. With regards boiling, it really is as fast as it says on the box and the heat indicator on the side is great to get an idea of when you're at temperature. Would definitely recommend this piece of kit to anyone, the price is more than justified by what you'll get kit quality and time wise in the field.”

“Pros: fast boiling, easy to use, relatively light Cons: expensive, not sure about durability time will tell? You can only fit a 100g gas canister inside main cooking pot, larger canisters have to be stored separately. Summary: For boiling water quickly without a lot of faff its great, but you pay a premium price. Need an additional wind shield if very windy.”
