“Bought this to replace my sawyer filter which had a painfully slow filter rate , the katadyn is really fast to filter . I have paired it up with the 2 litre cnoc bladder to which I filter my water into . All in all I would recommend this filter .”

“Used to filter brackish water whilst wild camping. Seems to do the job; no upset stomach. The filtered water still retained its brown colour so did not look particularly appealing to drink, but it tasted fine. Filter itself is easy to clean if contaminated with residue from particularly dirty water. Water bag seems robust and rolls up easily but would advise going for the 1L volume. if available. Water flow is rapid and required little effort to squeeze.”

“Purchased a few weeks ago and used last weekend. Having used a couple of popular systems in the past this is now the go to solution. Compact and easy to use, fastest filtration I've seen and well built. I can't see me using anything else ever again!”

“Used my Befree on a wild camp in the mountains, with a heavy back pack thank goodness I didn't have to carry my water in, the filter worked flawlessly and the flow rate is amazing ... must have if your wild camping”

“Great item, and seems to really work. Only used a few times so far, but drunk from a number of different water sources out in open moorland with no ill affect in the following days. I even drank from a stream with a dead sheep further up the stream (only found out after, would of avoided otherwise.... obviously). Really easy to clean, and the soft bottle means it packs down and can even be carried in your pocket or a jersey if you are out on the bike.”

“Fantastic bit of kit for the outdoors person. Never worry about running short of fresh water again. Lightweight to carry in your rucksack or bike pannier. So easy to use with the special in built filter. Recommended.”
