I think this is my fourth pair. Enough said ? If not ; very comfortable, excellent grip when new, I wear them every day.

I've been so happy with these shoes which have lasted for years that I thought I'd better buy another pair incase the styles changed.

I'd looked at Scarpa Vortex XCR Approach shoes in a couple of outdoor stores but was put off by the price. I was, therefore, surprised and delighted to find them on the Outdoor GB site a full £40 cheaper. I've tried them on and they are very comfortable and although I haven't yet worn them on a walk I'm confident that they will live up to their excellent reputation

Five years ago, I bought a pair of these GTX Approach Shoes on the recommendation of a friend who is a country warden and a mountain rescue team member. I live on the edge of the Peak District and have never regretted it. After two years of wearing them solely for hiking, I began to wear them as everyday shoes and literally wore them almost every day for the last three years. Towards the middle of 2020, the Vicram soles were showing signs of wear and had lost their grip. They were still waterproof though and now in their sixth year are making excellent gardening shoes. When I began to look to replace them, I found that the price, not surprisingly, had gone up considerably to around £160.00. I'm now 75 years old and had more or less decided that I would have to settle for something cheaper until I saw them being advertised for £114.00 by OutdoorGB. I did not hesitate and am happy to report that they appear to be as good as when I bought my first pair five years ago.

I used to have a pair of these for years. Last time I thought I'd try Merrell. Not in the same league to me. Had to replace them way too soon. My new Scarpa are brilliant as ever. I may need to buy an additional pair, so that I have one on hand in a few years time. Can't do without them.

This is my 3rd pair of these shoes and I wear them every day in all weathers and terrain. They are supportive, comfortable and the best shoes that I have found.

This is now my second pair of these (previous pair over 4 yrs old) - this make is hard wearing, high performance and really comfortable yet not heavy.
