Got this item and i couldnt recommend it enough, the bivvy itself is very spacious for what it is and even managed to squeeze me and my ridgeback in for an overnighter! Highly recommend

Light and packable. Used it to walk in , bivvy and climb a Munro the next day. Worked well on the dry evening I had. Easy to set up. I didn't have the 'opportunity' of testing it in inclement conditions. It worked really well for what I did this weekend - it's not commodious but it is utterly practical.

I have used my stratosphere extensively, always in warmer months and from roadside unobtrusive bivvying to mountain tops. The best thing is the ventilation is though the hooped area with mesh nets on both sides so it is completely midge proof but without condensation or heat build up. Of course, if the midges are still there when you get up you have to get moving sharpish, but that is the same with anything! The twin hoops give the top stability in wind. Light and packs small, you don't notice its there in your sac.

I've used this bivi on several occasions, most recently overnight in high winds and rain in the Brecons. It's proved consistently weatherproof. On the most recent trip a tiny amount of water crept in where I left the external zip a little bit open and only the mesh fully closed but otherwise the only dampness was due to the unavoidable condensation. On a long windy and wet night I felt fully protected. The only downside is the limited space inside. It's better than a bivi without hoops but on long winter nights a lightweight tent may be a better option.

Fantastic lightweight fully waterproof Bivvy Snugpak makes good quality gear and I’ve used many tents and sleeping bags and rucksacks and all are good quality and a name you can trust in my opinion.
