“I ordered this to replace the one I lost. It seems to be the same - just the lanyard is not the same quality but that’s a small issue. I wouldn’t be able to review the compass properly until I’ve been out and used it. I see that Silva are now using Chinese manufacturers, but I am assuming that they still conform to Silva’s high standards. The only thing I’m a little disappointed about is that the latest Silva4 Expedition with adjustable declination scale and measurement lanyard is available online for just a few pounds more than the one I bought. I would have bought the latest edition had I known that. Price good, delivery good and product I assume to be good. I have, however, learned to take some time to shop around more before my next outdoor kit purchase.”
