“My son wanted more carbs in a bottle for Junior racing heere in Belgium and tried both Blackcurrant and Lemon and Lime. He prefers Blackcurrent for racing is it is such a mild taste. Mixed with 95g of powder in around 670ml of water, mixed incredibly easy. Two bottles for two hours of racing. It is not always easy to grab a drink in a bunch of a 100 riders at 45kph, but being able to take more carbs in liquid form was great. It was not mixed at full strength due to racing in the heat but was easy for him to get down even when racing super hard. Easy enough to get 90g carbs per hour for hard racing. It was really easy on his stomach, more so than other brands with the same ratio of 1:0.08. Tried a couple of other brands and the Berry flavour of one was ok, but not as nice as tasting as this and didn't have the electrolytes with the carbs. Will try a little stronger next race to get more carbs in. After all the energy drinks we have now tried, this is my son's favourite for racing. All in all, it is easy to mix, gets loads of carbs in with the electrolytes and is really easy on delicate tummies. Would recommend for racing when it is hard to get in the carbs needed. Delivery to Belgium was also super fast, so well done there too. The only downside is the price per serving is a little more than the other 1:0.8 mixes, but it is so easy to digest at such high carb content, it is worth it. It will be saved for racing only but then such high carb mixes are not needed for easier zone 2 training where only 60g (ish) of carbs per hour are needed. If you a racing, it is a secret weapon to getting the carbs in.”
“A great tasting product that sits comfortably in the stomach and gives great energy. The added ingrediaents that cover the sweat loss are great as well and not had cramps in hot conditions”
“I’ve tried quite a few different brands of energy drinks, and OTE super carbs is the only one I’ll use, works really well on them long rides and the taste is really nice also.”
