About 3 months ago I was looking for a convenient way to improve the quality of our tab water for drinking. After doing my research I decided to go with the Osmio Zero, as it seemed to have the best and most convenient concept (a 4-stage countertop filter including reverse osmosis with a big water reservoir). When the machine arrived I was very excited, as we were trying to move away from buying bottled water/improving the nasty South London tab water for quite a while. First point to note is that Osmio seems committed to protecting the environment, given that there is no unnecessary packaging. The machine also didn’t come with a big manual but a one-pager with instructions and a QR-link to the PDF manual. This is how devices should be packaged in 2022! But this is where my excitement for the Osmio Zero stopped. Inspecting the device, I noticed that the build felt a little bit cheap. Moving parts like the lid and the comtrol wheel are quite flimsy and don’t give the impression of a premium product. This could be overlooked if the machine would produce acceptable drinking water. However, herein lies the big problem I have with the Osmio. The water it produces has a very strong distinct taste, which me and my girlfriend would describe as chemical/pastic-like. Concerned about the integrity of the machine, I contacted Osmio’s customer service, who told me that the distinct taste was normal and that my tastebuds simply needed some time to adjust. We decided to give it a try, despite our dislike of the taste, hoping that it would go away once the system was in use for a while. But this didn’t happen nor did our tastebuds “adjust”. That said, we offered a glass to everyone visiting to see their reaction, which was always the same; “the water tastes like chemicals”. After 2 months of trying to adjust to the taste we gave up and decided to return the machine. We began the return process by emptying and draining each module, as per the instructions given by the customer service, and sent it back in its original packaging. To our discontent we were told, that not only did we have to pay the £15.45 for the return shipment but that Osmio would also deduct £57.50 for the used filters from the refund. So in summation we paid £72.95 for 2 months of bad tasting water and a terrible customer experience. To everyone considering buying an Osmio Zero we strongly recommend to taste the water it produces before buying or looking for alternative products.

Absolutely great machine, water tastes totally different than bottled water. Only negative is that the cold water would bet good if it was chilled.

Unfortunately we still haven’t received a system that works. We have sent the system back to Osmio twice and are currently awaiting a refund. The product looks great, however it’s a shame there are some issues with some of the functions. I appreciate you are a company that is doing good and providing a product to improve people’s health. Hence why I ordered this product. I am hesitant to try and see if another system would work so we have requested a refund. It has cost us a lot of time wasting, packing up the system and taking pictures/videos and emailing you back and fourth. Please inform us on meg_sam@hotmail.co.uk ems_huws@hotmail.co.uk

Looks good, we enjoy instant hot water and it makes great tea cause there is no scum. Clear and fresh and low in TDS too. Has taken me a while to get used to it all and because I live in Kent and the water is very high in muck I only put in 3litres as advised and that can be a pain. It has made me realise how much water we use and it is good to have it cause I can make distilled ware easily with a distiller for the Infinity which has thus far changed my life! The people at Osmio are super cool, willing to spend lots of time on the phone and certainly know what they are talking about. I am learning that the water most of us are happy to drink is not good for our health.

1) When the water tank needs to be refilled, it bubbles for ages. Everyone comments and it is embarrassing having this ostensibly great gadget making so much noise. 2) 100C water sometimes waits to boil before running water, but maybe 50% of the time it runs immediately and takes a while to heat the water for a cup of tea. 3) if select 25C water after 100C there is a fair amount of hot water in that 25C cup 4) you advise 2 refills with new filters, but it probably takes 4 refills to remove the tang after drinking a glass of water, which when I started I was concerned that I was not going to like this water at all, but it would be good to have a warning note about that. 5) I don't have much room with the kitchen cupboards above, so when refilling the water tank the lid sometimes drops down and the machine starts bubbling away again, which is a bit annoying too. Otherwise I assume it is great!

Seems to me that clean water is step one in strengthening one's immune system, in conjunction with mineral supplements. This system suits my situation perfectly in its being easily moveable and not plumbed in under the sink. I bought a two years supply of filters to have in hand, in anticipation of being further assaulted by those intent on doing us all harm. I have been using the system for a month or two now and really cannot fault it at all. It does everything that I had expected of it and is an absolute pleasure to use. It is suprising to me how making tea in particular has become so effecient and quick to do. Warming the cup with a short burst first definitely ensures that the water comes out at optimum tea-making tempreture. Thank you Osmio - Good job!
