If you're looking for a fresh, clean and contemporary look our Classic White blind is the perfect option. Ideal for use in a lounge or bedroom, it adds light and a feeling of space in the daytime and provides a total blackout effect when down which works wonderfully to prevent glare when watching tv or to help you get a good night's rest.
The high level blackout effect means you have complete control over the amount of natural light entering your room making it ideal for bedrooms or rooms with screens to prevent glare, but is also a great way of adding a little more privacy for ground level rooms.
Total Blackout is the brand name for our blinds that feature side channels, cassettes and brush strips designed to block as much light as possible from entering the room. Please note however, that depending on the levelness and consistency in shape of the individual window aperture, it is possible to still experience a small amount of light bleed at the top or bottom corners, on the sill or on the inside of the side channels so we are unable to guarantee absolute darkness.
How To Measure For A Total Blackout Cassette Blind:

Our total blackout cassette blind is only suitable for fitting at the front of a window recess so that the cassette and side rails can overlap the recess slightly.

1. Using a steel tape, measure the width at the top, middle and bottom of the window noting all 3 sizes. (We can make the blind to suit sizes between 40-190cm wide).
2. Next measure the drop of the window at the left, middle and the right. Again note down all 3 measurements. (We can make the blind to suit sizes between 30-160cm drop).
3. Measure the depth of your window recess. (This system requires at least 5cm depth to fit).

How To Order A Total Blackout Cassette Blind:

Once you have chosen your favourite fabric colour

1. In the width and drop boxes enter the smallest of your measurements for width and drop in order to generate a price.
2. Enter the exact measurements you took of the recess at the top, middle and bottom for the width and left, middle and right for the drop. (This way if your window is not perfectly square we can help adjust the blind to accommodate this).

Not at all as easy to install as they make out in the videos and promotional material. Also not nearly as easy to use once fitted either - the friction between the blind and the side rails is so great that the blind does not move up and down very smoothly and actually is quite difficult to manuevre. Also it sometimes latches at the bottom right, but not on the bottom left, and sometimes this means a little bit of light still makes it through. Overall consutrction is also of lesser quality than expected, thin aluminium and flimsy plastic. The white coating to aluminium parts is super thin and very easy to chip/scuff during installation. Overall disapointed in their appearance and function, but they do block out 99% of the light. Cumbersome to install and hope they will last a long time, but only time will tell.

Hi Jayen, Thank you very much for leaving us a review. We're sorry to hear that you're having some difficulty with your Total Blackout blind. From your description, it seems that the blind isn't latching properly on both sides. This is usually due to not being locked off correctly; to lock the handle brake correctly, make sure you press down on both bottom corners of the blind handle, until you hear the clicking of the teeth on the brakes & foot interlocking. You need to ensure both bottom corners are pressed in at the same time. The other difficulty you're experiencing while manoeuvring the blind could suggest that your window recess isn't perfectly square. Total Blackout is the brand name for our blinds that feature side channels, cassettes, and brush strips, designed to block as much light as possible. However, due to the levelness and shape consistency of individual window apertures, some light bleed at the top or bottom corners, on the sill or inside the side channels might occur. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute darkness. We haven't yet received any communication from you that would allow us to assist you further. We'd appreciate if you could reach out to us directly & provide us with further information and photos. This will enable us to better understand and resolve your issues. You can email our Customer Service team here: info@orderblinds.co.uk We hope this information helps, and if you have any further questions, don't hesitate to reach out. Kind Regards, May

Great product which had clear installation instructions and was very easy to install. Quality seems very good, works very effectively as a blackout blind. Whilst it took nearly 3 weeks from order to delivery, the service was OK.

It was a bit tough to get the frame into position and the blinds does allow some light through. Still it is a considerable improvement from the situation before.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. As our Total Blackout Blinds are designed to completely block out light, this should not have any light leakage. I have passed this over to our customer service team who will be in touch soon to assist you with this.

Easy to fit and they do a very good job of making the room black dark even when the sun is shining on to the window.
