After completing the L2 TA course, I decided to move up to the L3 course. The course material for L3 is far more extensive and the presentation failed to live up to my expectations. It is not well integrated into the software. It appeared to have been simply scanned material and some of the content was too small to read. There were numerous mistakes in the text (poor proofing) and at least one troubling error in the assessment, which I complained about, without any reaction to date. These CPD TA courses are little more than toe-in-the-water exercises but not without value. I am glad I tested myself, after many years out of the academic learning environment. I am not qualified to comment in depth on the veracity of the course material. Remember, to become a TA necessities practical experience alongside a recognised qualification. Going forward, I intend to do more niche CPD courses to fill knowledge gaps, such as phonics. My overall advice is to proceed with realistic expectations.

I've just started the course. What I've seen so far is brilliant.

I enjoyed the Teaching Assistant Course Level 2. Information was concise and made interesting. I am on Level 3 and am not enjoying this course like the first. I feel lots of irrelevant wording thereby making the units to study longer. In saying the above it is indeed a great service you offer. Thank you.

Thank you, I've now done my level 2 TA and paid for my level 3 teacher assistant course. Hopefully next is SEN course. Its so nice to do it at my own pace as I work long hours.

I have studied up to module 5. Content is comprehensive and mostly relevant. Presented in a clear manner with headings and bullet points etc. Assessment could include writing a paragraph, marked by a tutor, on some issue to show understanding. Some videos could be included on the teaching modules. Relevant pictures could be shown. (In the reading section there is a picture of math material, and a picture of a child holding a pencil incorrectly.) There could be short case studies and experiences of real life governor's, teachers and TA's to illustrate the theory and make it more interesting.

The Teaching (level 2) presentation course was good. I enjoyed the slides and pictures to break up the text, which makes it more interesting to read.
