“I was taken aback by the quality and beauty of this table. We have bought plenty of chests of drawers and tables, large and small, from OakFurnitureLand, which we like, but about which we recognise that, in a competitive market, we have to accept mass production economies in the things we buy. The finish quality of our OakFurnitureLand things is therefore acceptable but not superb, and they are visibly obviously not as solid as they pretend to be.
That is what I expected with this table. Not so. It is beautiful and VERY solid-looking. The finish quality is superb. It’s extend mechanism and locking system is accurate and robust. With OakFurnitureLand panel joints, the joints are made into a 4mm wide feature, which are obviously very cheap to make and we actually liked at first - but quickly started to dislike, and eventually had to fill with plastic wood because of all the dust, crumbs and spillages they accumulate on a table. In our OnlyOakFurniture table, however, the surface panels are accurate, very tight, very slightly bevelled grooves. Precision rather than expediency. An excellent table with superb finish quality.”
