“Fits well in the kitchen doorway but not very sturdy. We've had quite a few stair gates over the years with two kids but this one is not as good as our others. It is easy to open but the button system feels flimsy compared to others. My daughter figured it out quite quickly because you don't have to press the top and bottom very much for it to release”

“I’m really impressed with this gate for the price! We had an issue with the first one which Olivers Baby Care rectified immediately but it’s a good quality gate for such a reasonable price. Would recommend it to friends and buy more Callowesse products”

“The description indicated the mechanism needed to be slid to open. The mechanism on the gate we received was a simple button, which our 18 month old child figured out straight away. The locking mechanism is too simple and not as per the description.”

“This is a well-made gate, and it does the job we wanted. We thought it was a reasonable price for the quality of the materials. Some good solid metals are used in its construction. It does need some care in setting up first time. To get the gate opening mechanism working properly you have to get the tensions on the screw fittings just right. Overall, a purchase we are very happy with.”
