“I’ve utilised every piece of kit they sent me. I was a bit trepidatious starting watercolours because it feels so permanent. One bad stroke and the painting is ruined, or so I thought. There was enough paper to really give it a go, I’m more comfortable with oils but it was liberating to try a mew method without investing a lot of money to try it out. Additionally, I really liked seeing the magazine’s artists in action. Their works were helpful in giving me new ideas for expressing my creativity.”
