“It was fine I suppose, but markers are not really a key item for me and not something I would choose to spend a lot of money on. I just hadn’t gotten to change my preferences in time”

“Overall I thought the studio markers box was very good. I had been eagerly anticipating this box as it would be my first time trying alcohol markers. The box includes a broad selection of colours. The pens have two different nibs. I would have liked a brush nib instead of the smaller nib. The magazine, as usual, is excellent. I really enjoy reading about all the different artists who use this medium. The frog and newt tutorial was fun and not too difficult to follow (my attempt turned out not so terrible). Other than not having a brush nib, my one issue with the box was the surface selection. The ink bled through the paper so you cannot use it in the pad or on top of anything you would worry about staining. I was wary of using too many layers of ink with this paper as it wasn't sturdy enough. All in all, I appreciated this box and feel that I was supplied with all the materials I needed to have an enjoyable experience getting familiar with studio markers.”

“A beautiful set of good quality marker pens! They blended similar to the big brand Copic pens. Great range of colours and having twin tips is an extra bonus to allow detailed and broader marks. The paper was, as always, very good quality and joy to use. I also really enjoyed the email tips that followed and gave encouragement through out the month after too. I really recommend these boxes and subscriptions and I try to make sure I can keep them up as they are my little treat and fantastic value. You couldn’t get this quality for less money anywhere else and the art community that it comes with is equally lovely and supportive.”
