“I've owned the material version of this bag, which has lasted me for eight years. After becoming a little bit worn and beaten up in places, I decided to replace it, but this time, I decided to go all out for the full leather, especially the blackout line. In regards to the leather, this bank is outstanding. It smells superb and feels brilliant, but I do have to say I'm a little disappointed in the bag. For me, the hardware on the back doesn't feel as premium as a standard material bag. Having all the hardware blackout makes it feel cheap and, in my opinion, doesn't look as good as the silver hardware.
I also want to note the red lining within the bag. It's only stitched in around the top edges and not stitched in at the bottom of the bag, so if you don't have the camera inserted in the bag, you can pull out the lining. I prefer to be stitched in like the material version of this bag. On the back of the bag, there is a zip pocket. This is advertised as an iPad or tablet sleeve. I can assure you this does not fit an iPad or a tablet of any size. Also, note that this is not a YKK zipper. I prefer a magnetic closure or just an open pocket. You can slip things in and out and do away the zip.
The strap is well-made, and his advertisement of having a cable running through the middle to stop this being Cut you can't feel anything. I can't hundred per cent comment on this, but I can say that the strap isn't a single piece of leather. It's made up of two strips of leather, and the point where they join is the point where it rests on your shoulder, and I am 5 foot seven medium buil, to me this is the weakest part of the strap.
For the price, I would probably recommend you pick the material version that still has a part leather. I think it is a much better bag and is more well-made, plus the material version has more flexibility. The leather strap is very rigid, but this bag will fit nicely over time with more use.
Don't get me wrong, I love this bag. It's a premium quality. If I were purchasing again, I would opt for this bag's full Black part leather material version.
Being in the UK, I have to pay import duty and tax, which costs an extra £135. Therefore, returning the bag for an exchange is not an option for me, as I would lose the £135 I've spent on import duties. Take this into account when you purchase a bag outside of the country.
If I had the option and it was a free return without any import duties, I would return this bag and exchange it for the black material version. I hope this review has helped you make your decision. I'm trying to be as honest as I can about all aspects.”
