“The instructions say that the cartridge needs to be activated by at least two fills. This is correct. There was a change in taste from our first glass to the next Dispenser refill.
I really like the fact that these cartridges contain coconut fibres. A smart and natural way of cleaning water. It is very important to me that the cartridges can be recycled. The fact we have to filter tap water is a mark of how we've poisoned the environment.
The tap nosel hangs slightly lower, so you need to place the Dispenser where you have the space to insert a glass/kettle underneath. On a worktop is fine. (I put a cotton rug under the spout on the floor. The Dispenser does not leak. But I occasionally don't pay enough attention to what I am filling and spill.)
I fill a glass jug with tap water and then pour that water into the container. (The container was too high to fit directly under the tap on my sink.) Given that the tap water here, in Donegal, is incredibly dirty, the cartridge does an excellent job in filtering out pollution, flouride, limescale etc. and the water tastes clean. Really good design. Simple to put together. Really pleased.”
