They feel tighter than the Speedgoat 4 which I was worried about but the upper is quite soft so haven’t noticed any issues even with 3+hrs. Sole seems sturdier with more hard-wearing base but they do feel a little slippery on wet rock. Good cushioning, I’ll stay with the Hoka SG for now.

I've been using Hoka SP4s for years so quite brand loyal. However, I chose to try the new Brooks Caldera on advice from my local store. Big mistake for my feet - they were like a medieval torture device from day 1. Quickly ordered a pair of SP5s and they felt like slippers straight from the box. Same traction and comfort as the SP4s but lighter and an improved fit. Can't fault them- even prefer he new colourway.

On my 3rd pair now and still a great trail shoe. Lightweight but strong with decent grip. Wide fit gives a bit more room.

My favourite trail shoe with good cushioning. Used it for a 20km box hill run and protected my knees from all the downhills
