Northern Runner rep advised I needed a wide toe boot and these were brilliant! Lightweight, comfortable, waterproof and springy. They felt more like trainers but with all the ankle support of a sturdy boot. Thoroughly recommend.”

“I was really looking forward to these arriving. They are almost the only hiking boot that has a natural foot shape with zero drop and room for your toes to spread. Overall, these are a definite improvement over the previous model. The lacing system is much better, with hooks at the top instead of closed loops. They are much easier to get on - I used to have to wrestle with the previous ones to get my foot in - and I have high hopes of the waterproofing, although that hasn't been tested yet. The fabric seems an improvement - no plasticky coating on the outside, which on my previous boots split and developed holes after only a few months of use. They fit nice and snugly around my heel and mid-foot, but my usual size 6 felt too small for length: I think the very front of the toe box is stiffer and shallower and made my toes feel pinched. I eventually got a half size bigger, which unfortunately were MUCH bigger, especially the width, so my feet slosh around in them somewhat, particularly on uneven ground, but at least there is lots of essential toe room. They might not work for anyone with very narrow feet. I definitely recommend these for anyone searching for boots with a proper natural shape that doesn't ruin your toes and feels super comfortable the minute you put them on.”
