“Really comfortable to wear and, given their springiness, they feel even lighter than they are. Down side is that previous pairs have split either side of the toe joints quite quickly so I save them for races.”
“I've been running in Hoka Challengers since they first came out this is easily the best version. I've just run 100km trail race in a pair of these in warm humid conditions and 2 hours of torrential rain without any blisters or foot issues - still have 10 toenails!. Lots of room in the toebox compared to versions 2,3 & 4. The cushioning isn't quite as soft as previously but in my opinion it works better by being responsive rather than spongy and provides a tad more support. The upper provides lots of hold in the mid foot without feeling tight and laces hold well. The outsole is resilient after doing the 100km and wearing the shoes in for 100km before hand. Only gripe is they only do one colour in the wide option so I have 2 pairs the same! Highly recommended trainer.”
“I already have Challenger ATR 5 Wide and they have been great, possibly the most comfortable shoe I've ever had. However they are wearing out.
I bought the Challenger 6 hoping they would be almost identical ...and I'm not sure they are! The lacing eyelets have changed and there isn't a centre loop at the bottom and I'm not convinced the shape is the same, though I may be wrong as trying to compare with shoes that have done hundreds of miles! The Challenger 6 do feel comfortable, however, but I'm still wearing them generally to wear in, rather than on trails and longer outings.”
“Great bounce & cushioning. I bought the wide fitting and previously had the normal width ATR4 - couldn’t feel a huge difference in width; but definitely enough room for wide feet.
I paid the full retail price of £115 as the model and size/colours were hard to find in the wide fitting
I would recommend Hoka ATR6!”
